Thomas Kronbichler is a Design Principal at COLLINS New York. He co-founded Studio Mut in 2014, which he shaped and steered for over a decade. Born in Bolzano, Italy, he studied Product and Communication Design in Italy and the UK, and started his adventures in graphic design as an intern at Fons Hickmann M23 in Berlin. In 2018, he was inducted into Alliance Graphique Internationale (AGI), and in 2022, he designed the identity for the Italian AGI Congress. Adjunct professor for communication design at University of Bolzano. He frequently judges global award panels, including 100 Beste Plakate (Germany, Austria, Switzerland), the Golden Bee Biennale of Graphic Design in Moscow, and the China International Poster Biennale. He gives keynote talks and conducts workshops, including at Torino Graphic Days (Italy), the Latin American Design Festival (Peru), and the Bauhaus in Weimar (Germany). Most recently, he is the co-curator of the major Vignelli retrospective that opened at Triennale Milano in 2026. Father of two, Thomas lives and works from Bolzano, Italy.
